After being asked to DJ at this event during my time at the Copenhagen Regionals earlier on in the year, seeing all the hype building up with the location being kept top secret until only a few day before the event & all of the WODs being released during athletes briefing + it being a sell out in record time – I knew that this event was one to go down very very well!
The first 2 WODs of day 1 were outside in the cold & crispy autumn weather, then everything moved onto the venue for the final WOD of the day & all of the other WODs for day 2.
WOD 1 : 3,200m run (8 laps)
WOD 2 : 150m stalmat drag
WOD 3 : Clean ladder
Day 2 had all the athletes ready to go for the long day ahead with the tough WODs that were in store, kicking off with
WOD 4 : 12 min AMRAP / 50 DUs, 5 snatches, 10 ring dips, 15 pull ups
WOD 5 : A, Yoke walk / B, max distance handstand walk
WOD 6 : A, 5 min AMRAP 3 rounds 3 stone over shoulder, 3 MUs
B, 5 min time cap 3 rounds 3 STOH, 1 shuttle run
C, 5 min time cap 30 squat cleans
Over the weekend it was great to see everyone enjoying the music, also having a lot of really great feedback on the tracks & gaining new interest. It was amazing to be part of this very well run & organised event, it’s safe to say that I will definitely be heading back there again – i’ve already being booked for next years event … Lowlands Throwdown 2014 will be bigger & better in every way!
Here is a selection of tracks that I played over the weekend which got all the athletes & spectators in the traditional crossfit spirit.
